Busy Busy

Wow  where does the time go?. I have been busy sewing and making things for guild  family and friends. Also for a couple other things I am in. my doll swap quilts. Birthday quilt blocks
for  another group I am in.I just have too much fun and the time sneaks away .
I have been making some small ornament ts for family. Decorating the house and outside. digging out the Christmas things to hang and display. Trying to shop in between all that. And you know keep up with all the other daily chores we all have.
Our new grand baby is now a week old heading fast for the second week. She is a better sleeper than her big sister. but we are all different.
I had two boys and a daughter. the oldest one kept us up at night and was very  colicky the second boy  would not stay in the bed and came up with all sorts excuses to get out bed. The daughter slept good had 2 naps a day and slept all night. So each was very different.
Hubby just celebrated his 69th birthday. I get to celebrate mine next year!  early next year more like next month I will be his age. Been with him for 50 years now and have had a good ride most of it.
So what are the rest of you doing different this year for your holidays? anything? I think ours will be about the same. We always bake certain cookies, have certain decorations that have to up.. My kids used to go caroling not sure they do that anymore. But it was always fun to me. I am hoping to get it all done in time. Hope you have a great Christmas season too.
GOD bless and take care
HUGS to you all

Peg Board

I worked all afternoon on it. I sorted through all that I had hanging on it and decided that some of it had to go! This is the finished wall and I am proud of it. Look at all those rotary cutters. I must have the first one I ever bought. NOT!  I have gotten  them over the years and  just keep them. I am sure I will donate some to new sewers soon. That room is going to get done this year! I have said that for the last several years. So it is time!@! This is the electric pole hubby built for me and the machines. see in the background the messy wall well below that picture is the clean and organised wall.
Now tomorrow I will start on another area of the room. and with lots of luck I can get it done this winter.!!

I will take some photos of the things I did get to at the retreat later tomorrow.. Had guild tonight.I was asked to bring my twister rulers and samples . I did and then I was called
on to tell all about them. Yikes was not expecting that, but I got through it.Was a good meeting. The program was Rulers Rulers everywhere. who knew how many rulers there are. Cooler tempsI am Tired

Afternoon, been a lot cooler here today . The grey skies and rain and leaves are almost all off the trees. but we had  beautiful fall colors. I am working in my sewing area to see if i can make better use of the space I have. I got a new machine, Bernina 750. Now to make room so I can use it to the fullest. My table will have to have the opening made bigger or I will have to find a new cabinet. The machine is wonderful! I did not get the embroidery unit as I do not do very much of  it. I plans to do some quilting on it I have plenty of things that need to be finished. So until next time here is a picture of the machine I got

Pictures in Paper

My grandkids are very good soccer players. The oldest one at home has been chosen athelete of the week . He scored 5 goals for his team and one was  what they call a hat trick! The other grandson Solomon was in the other paper and they had ask him what Labor day meant ? Then on the school pages all three kids were pictured with their soccer teams. Ally is out for now with a chin injury. I am proud of them all. I will get it posted Solomon is funny. Have a good one

Quilt Show

I have been lax on posting as of late, so here is the latest news for me.
We had our bi-annual quilt show this weekend it ended today. I was to work each day but was extremely tired and did not so I did not know if my quilts had any  merit  for sure. I thought they might  Well to my surprise I had entered 8 items. Six of them received ribbons. I am so thrilled.I was very surprised  to have that many.  I received two first place ribbons and 4 second place ribbons.
I am so thrilled. Been a long time since entered anything. So this is a boost for sure  Thanks to all the pattern designers!
I think it is wonderful!! Thanks to my long arm quilters for a great job too. The Pumpkins was quilted by Roma Wimberley of Weaverville NC  everyone loves it!!!  The Swirl Tree was quilted by Amy Bouchard of Miami Valley. Sarah Bistline quilted the checkered cherries. I got a blue ribbon on my pumpkin quilts that was a pattern by Thimbleberries. I also got a blue ribbon on my Swirl Tree from Frivolous Necessity pattern.
