I also purchased the Snappy  Slippers pattern and plan to make myself a pair to match my robe. so cute. They the slippers have a bag to put them in as well. Happy 4th of July everyone

Wishing all a safe weekend and happy memorable time with family and friends. I will be at home this year and being productive on some much needed DE-cluttering .LOL I feel like that is all I get done but hey somewhere back when I thought I really needed a great deal of these items Funny how we change  each year! when i sew I can not do the other chores and visa versa so I will choose to be busy making a less cluttered  space. Mind you I did not say organised only less.
Oh for you younger ones reading  this post  just a heads up when you get older you will slow down and the time will fly by  and trust me each year is faster and faster. I am doing the Farm Girl Vintage sew along. I am behind 2 blocks plus the new two new ones. I am hoping I can get them sewn tonight for my relax time and reward for my other sorting.here is a photo of the ones i have completed thus far. I am doing the 6 1/2 inch size. really liking them  and hope to keep up with it  s little better. I made this cute wallet from a pattern called the Quilter's Wallet. so far I have made 3 and have a 4th to go.. it is started and will be cute when finished. so for now i will post my blocks and a couple of the wallets. until next time be safe and think positive.

Managed some more sewing

well today I got to make a cell phone case and then I got the bag  by Pink Penguin made, it is a lunch bag on her tutorial. But it reminds me of the  hair roller bags we used to buy years ago. so cute thought. I will use it for something.I will see if I have picture of the both of them
Cell phone case is a iron on interfacing panel from Quilt Smart. You get three of them  does not fit the larger I phones  but the ones from last year and such are fine. I am sure I can alter the size.  we shall see. I like them both.I think I will make the Samsung tote next from Quilt Smart/ cool stuff they have.
I am giving the phone case a dear friend who lives in Washington state Will mail it out tomorrow to her.

A tad of sewing

I am doing the Sew Along with Lori Holt and the  day before the sew along she gave directions for us to make a pin cushion using a block from her new book Farm Girl Vintage. I have been pretty sick all week and really wanted to sew but had to do this in a few minutes at a time. Been to nauseated to move around very long. I like it and it is finished. Maybe tomorrow i can sit long enough to make the first two blocks. I also bought her fat quarter bundle to make the blocks in the book. She has used a polka dot for background different colors but I think I will use Kona Snow or  Bella White. I spent 3/4 of the month of April in Washington visiting my son  and seeing my grand daughters. they are so fun. They are thinking of moving back to the Ohio area but he would rather go to AZ it is much warmer year around there. He told the Honey they could come here for a year at least a winter and then she may change her mind due to how long and cold most of the winters are.
I took some photos and videos of the girls jumping and playing and singing.. Gosh they have grown so fast. below is a photo of my pincushion. sure came out nice.
I will upload the pics and videos from phone and then post them in a day or so  so come on back and take a look them. thanks everyone.
