doll quilts

Hello I have been sewing on a small doll quilt. I have used some of the newer Civil war fabrics from Judy Rothermel. I will post a photo of the one I have just sewn and the one I made earlier.
I like them both. Giving one away may be hard for me to decide on, but hey maybe I will make a 3rd one who knows. The last one needs to be layered and quilted and as does the newest one I have just sewn. I really like them both

Newest Quilt Top

Hi all just got back from a fun weekend retreat with a few fellow quilter friends of mine.

This is the quilt top from Barry's class named Strip T quilt by Sharon Craige and taught by Edith Dyke.

It was a fun time by all. I am now working on some smaller wall hangings from a book called "Quilters Dozen". In it there are 12 different wall hangings one for each month. I will post them as I finish them here. They are fun. I am on January right now. Have a great night I am very tired and need some serious sleep.

Snow and sorting out

I am hoping to get a good jump on my sewing area and the house in general this year!
Sewing is going to go on the back burner while I do some important things around here. I have spent to many years with sewing and quilt making taking the front and center. Not so this year I have a plan in mind and they are last on my list for now.
My reward will be to sew- for work I get done. I have let the house go and it really needs my attention. I plan to get a lot of the purging done this year! If do not do it-- it will consume me and I will never dig out from under the clutter!!
I have committed to a couple things before so I will do those and then limit the sewing for my reward when I get one major job finished. Happy New Year to you all!!!!!!!!!!
