new find

I got myself some new old dishes today. These are so cute and very summery or spring like. here is a picture of the ones I got the cost was miminal 12.60 plus sales tax. I am happy and love the color. I will now hunt for 2 saucers that are green and one pink and I want a yellow, cute I hope I can find them all. sweet

Flowers and cleaning the yard

I have purchased more flowers and they are sure pretty. I have the white and red in the back and the soft yellow petunias on my front hanger. I have a few more things to dig and move around and then it should be finished for a little while. I have some small plants to put in the chair under the crabapple tree. Then one other container to fill and set on my patio. I want to buy new cushions for the seating too. Looking good and I am pleased with all of it so far.

I have been working all day outside. I power washed the deck. then cleaned out one pond and filled it. planted some flowers in the front 2 columbines and 3 miniature hosta plants. Hubby planted 2 tomato plants. I also bought a giant Cannas Lily in bright red and have planted it in the back neat the pond. I have swept the patio and tomorrow we are getting anew top rail for the back deck and maybe a new set of steps too. Then we shall seal the floor and etc. I want a couple nice big hanging plants for the deck one for sure . Things are looking good so far.

a Handsome fellow

This is Solomon my youngest grandson he is turning 15 soon. He is spending this week with us . His mother is on a trip with 6th grade class and her daughter. They have gone to Washington DC to see some sights. Will come back late on Friday night. He is a very good young man and I thinkhe is very good looking

whew!

Been sewing all afternoon. I have 5 of the bag s sewn and still need to add the closures and sew the inside turning space shut. All and all I like them . I think I like the blue one for now . I have a few more to sew but they will be different. I have to make some of those neat wonder wallet's and the tissue holders for each of the bags. Makes for a nice gift and a change for one person. I am planning to make a couple grommett type bags. Have to wait and see what I can find in my fabric to make some with.

Kitchen is done!

My cleaning all day today on the cupboards has paid off. They look great!! I am happy with the job I have done. The sun was shinning all day and I wanted to go out side but I stayed in and did the job. Tomorrow I hope to clean the pantry and laundry cupboards, that will be a fun one too.

Cleaning day

Today I have been cleaning out my kitchen cupboards and throwing out things. I have given some dishes to my DIL and son. I have a bag of spices for my daughter. Why do we buy the same ones over and over. I had at least three of each, so will share them. I also washed the microwave and stove back boy do they shine now. Look like new. I have to finsh the cupboards up tomorrow. I am cleaning them out and washing inside first. Then I will wash the outer and scrub my rug. Things are looking so much better. I want to make new curtains for the eating area. We get a terrible west sun in that room. I need to get new screens in the frames too. That will help. anyway a busy day for me tomorrow. have a great one everyone!!!

Latest sewing

Been a few days since I have been on to type, sorry about that one.

Had spent the weekend sewing at the local church and had a great time. I was able to get some of the projects started and some just a little bit done. But today I made myself a new bag. It is by "Maple Islands" and it is the Grommet Bag . There is a small folding wallet I have not made it yet. Maybe later on this week. Here is a snapshot of the one did make today I really like it.
