Grandpa seeing his gifty box was empty.LOL it is a canopy the son took it out of the box and wrapped only the box it was way too heavy .Daughter Michelle and son Robert went together and got this for Dad.

What a day the family was all here except for 3 of them oldest son Jeff and his wife Hiwot then 2nd son's wife Lisa was missing. She decided to she wanted to be elsewhere. Robert came by himself and enjoyed the day with us all. I took a boatload of pictures and will share some of them with you all. We had a good day. Today is catch up day.LOL below is some photos of yesterday with the family . Had a great meal and lots of fun. Will be back tomorrow to some more updating. Contents of swap Box

Ok today I received a swap box from my secret santa person . I belong to a yahoo group and we did the box swap for Christmas. We had to fill a box and spend at least 20 dollars not including postage on the person we were to mail it to. I got my box today and here is the pictures of the stuff I received this was a fun swap!

she had made one in red and white and is so crisp and I love it. so I made myself one and a couple others for gifts. I plan to make a couple more later on they are so much fun thanks Jodi!!

Sewing Challenging

I have been sewing today ! Imagine that? I have been working on my project for the guild challenge for our Christmas party .It is coming up soon . I wanted to post a picture but thought I best not in case some of the members come by and they see it. Would not be fair to the others.
So to keep things honest I will wait until the day of the party just before leaving to post my picture. wah wah oh well. It has been fun sewing it and etc. Have a great night and i am off to bed niters all .

Class

Well it was a fun day and I got a little bit sewn Took some time.Was a new for me. A free form of sewing. so un like me.
I did like it though. I plan on sewing the rest of it. It will be sometime as it is a long process and I did say to the teacher that it was a messy process. LOL

beautiful day

Today it was sunny and warm for this time of year. I started to clean my basement again. I am re arranging some things in it. Hoping to set up a quilting table and try my hand at quilting. I have to get some stuff removed and give other stuff a way and then it should be fine for the table. I have also been going through a mound of papers to see what I shall throw out and or shred. I have a ton of patterns and magazines too.But it all takes time to go through no easy way to get it done. Hope you all are having a great day and may the sun shine down on you .

Fabrics for Class

Here is a few pictures of the fabrics I have chosen for my class next weekend the 14th of Nov.

I have the book on the stack to see if they are close enough I think they are good enough to sew it with. The red and pink are for the roses and the inner boarder.The yellow for the flower centers and green for the outter rings and leafs on the circles.

another great day

I got to sew a little today. I made small bags. I will be quilting out the Linus top tonight and finishing the binding on the pink and green quilt tomorrow. I have plenty to do . Have some gifties to make for guild and a couple friends and family too. mercy time is flying now have a good one all. Will post pictures later on of the bags.If I can remember to take them LOL

It's a Top

I have sewn the blocks into a top and hubby wants this one. How sweet of him to say that. I have it ready to layer and then quilt out. It was fun , I decided to set the blocks on point and added the in between squares to enlarge it some..It fits his bed nicely! The bed with the wooden headboard is not his . that is a guest bed. LOL

surgery for hubby

well we are home from the hospital. hubby is doing fine . Here is a couple pictures of the head of his. Should know something next week and soon to find out on his other one from Wednesday. I am doing laundry as we type.LOl a not so favorite chore of mine.

A tada from quilt class

Well I got to sew today and I have finished the 12 blocks for the stack and whack class I took on Saturday!

I like the blocks, they are interesting and I do think I will set them on point and add some plain brown background to make the top bigger. Tomorro is hospital day for hubbby and I will there by his side they sre doing facial surgery and he should be out tomorrow afternoon and home .

I am signing out for now am tired from my sewing and will need my rest for the day ahead of me.

I have been so busy plum forgot to come and post on the blog. well duh!! so I have some catching up to do.

Some fresh pictures of some of the peole i have been to visit and some of them that have traveled to visit with me here in Ohio. I went to Wa. state to spen a few weeks with my new DIL and enjoyed that . Was home about 9 days and my friends from Scotland arrived and stayed for 2 weeks that was a fun time by us all. We went to a quilt retreat and met up with others in our yahoo group. what a good time we had.

next my SIL from Florida cam with one of ther friends they were going to Cincinnatti for a wedding so they stayed here then drove to the wedding 4 1/2 hour drive. They went home on Monday and I had the time with another friend I met on the interent from Canada .here are the photos from them all. I will label them for you . Thanks for stopping in today!
